Daily Meals
Poverello House serves three hot meals 365 days a year. Breakfast is served Monday through Friday at 8:30 AM and Saturday and Sunday at 9:00 AM. Lunch is served Monday through Sunday at 12:00 noon. Dinner is served Monday through Friday at 5:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday, a bag dinner is given to our clients at lunch time. Poverello House serves anywhere from 1,200 to 1,400 meals a day.
Papa Mike’s Café
Papa Mike’s Café was inspired by our current Food Services Director and Chef Tito Olazabal in 2006. The concept is simple. Provide a restaurant and cafe style night of dining once a month for our clients and allow them to pick from different meals on a menu. Our volunteers act as waiters and waitresses and our kitchen is ready to serve! Our clients enjoy the restaurant atmosphere and enjoy being served. Currently Papa Mike’s Café is held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 4:45 p.m. If you are interested in helping prepare food or serving, please speak with our Director of Volunteer Services, Gabriela McNiel at (559) 498-6988.
